Help spread the love
A couple of months ago, I asked flickr if they would post jUploadr in the list of linux uploaders that they keep on this page or even this page. I received no reply, and it’s still not up there. I find this strange because I occasionally do google searches on ‘jUploadr’, and the overwhelming majority of people really love it. Additionally, the uploaders that they do feature are old proof-of-concept things with none of the features jUploadr has. Heck, glimmr doesn’t even work any more, and it has a link.
So, maybe my users can help rectify this injustice. Would you guys please send an email asking flickr to post a link to jUploadr’s home page? If you do that, I promise 1.0 final will come out next week.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great application. It’s just what I was looking for. I have sent my email to Flickr. Seems a bit silly that it isn’t on the website along with the others.

Done. It’s madness that they haven’t updated their site yet.
Incidentally I blogged about jUploadr a while ago - see http://andypiper.wordpress.com/2006/01/15/playing-with-flickr/

I send mail in this moment to Flickr administrators! I just say one thing to you: CONGRATULATIONS jUploadr is the best uploader!

Andy: Yes, it’s almost like they’re intentionally ignoring jUploadr, as my mom used to say –they’re just jealous.
Thank you all for the kind words.

Just to point out, jUploadr is now listed on Flickr’s Services and Tools pages, which is how I found it - so looks like this had an effect.
