Awesome New Site…

In preparation for jUploadr 1.1, I asked my talented girlfriend to re-do the site, and the results were so good, I just had to put them up right now.

Now jUploadr has a web site that’s as cool as it is. Hope you like.

Update

Nicole wanted me to link to here site… Here it is

  4. Paul Says:

Heyaaa… Not to be a pesty bastard or anything. But what is the estimated release date for version 1.1? :) I would try to extract the source code from the CVS but I don’t know how to do it :(

It’s almost there… Just need to get translations done and final words from beta testers

    Hi

Just wanted to report a bug with the XFCE window manager. I don’t think jUploadr works there, it seems to be impossible to drag the files from a folder to the application.

    Thanks,

  7. scohen Says:

    Rui,
You’ll need to either get the SWT team to accept the bug, or get XFCE to honor the standard drag and drop interface that KDE and Gnome share. You can drag and drop from any application that uses the Gnome/KDE model… Konqueror, Nautilus, Eye of Gnome, Gthumb, etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello SCohen,

I’m new to Flickr and used juploader (for Mac) to upload pictures to my site: (http://www.flickr.com/photos/found-behind-the-ranges-over-yonder/). Very easy process. Thanks much.
    I’ve had a problem, though.
While uploading I made default the setting “for friends & family”. When I realized the hoops that friends have to go through to access pictures on Flickr I went back and changed the overall default setting to “public”. Although that setting has said “public” all day now the pictures on my site still say for “friends only” and people who have tried, only see the photos I’ve manually (on my site) changed to public. I’m about to manually change all of them - thank goodness there are only 50 uploaded - but I’m wondering where the bug is. I’ve written to Flickr but thought if it might be in juploader you’d like to know.

Wee, good gf you got, knows her way around Wordpress (Isnt this that?)

  10. scohen Says:

    Vishnu,
jUploadr only sets the privacy options when it uploads photos, changing jUploadr’s settings will not affect photos that have already been uploaded to Flickr.
If you need to change the privacy on a bunch of photos, I recommend that you use Flickr’s Organizr, it will make short work of bulk changes.

    Hope this helps.

    Qwerty: Yeah, she rocks.

  11. Adam Teece Says:

Site looks great, I am really looking forward to version 1.1 coming out. It will be awesome to have a tool to upload to zooomr with.

  12. Lon Says:

I’m looking forward to it as well. Zooomr’s next to useless to me without it, even with all the zany features.

  13. Qwerty Maniac Says:

Um, I put the jUploadr folder under /usr/local/ and passed this command

    ln -s /usr/local/jUploadr/jUploadr /usr/bin/jUploadr

But the thing is, when I run jUploadr in the terminal now, I get this

    Starting JUploadr…
Java exec found in PATH. Verifying…
Suitable java version found [java = 1.5.0_06]
    Configuring environment…
    java -cp :*.jar -Djava.library.path=/usr/bin org.scohen.juploadr.app.JUploadr ”
Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/scohen/juploadr/app/JUploadr

Pardon me, am kind of a n00b in linux, just know my way around the gui. But where did I go wrong ?

  14. scohen Says:

The jUploadr script isn’t de-referencing the symbolic link you made, so it can’t find the actual program.

My suggestion would be to create an application launcher on your desktop that points to /usr/local/jUploadr/jUploadr and use that.

  15. Qwerty Maniac Says:

    Ohk, I’ll use that then.

  16. parcelbrat Says:

Just wondering when the release date for the next version is? I am really looking forward to it.

    Jimmy

  17. scohen Says:

    Parcelbrat,
There’s no set date. It’s done when it’s done. Right now, I have a final beta out to the testers, if everything looks good, it’ll be off to the translation team and then out for release.
