Parcelbrat,
There's no set date. It's done when it's done. Right now, I have a final beta out to the testers, if everything looks good, it'll be off to the translation team and then out for release.

The jUploadr script isn't de-referencing the symbolic link you made, so it can't find the actual program.

My suggestion would be to create an application launcher on your desktop that points to /usr/local/jUploadr/jUploadr and use that.

Um, I put the jUploadr folder under /usr/local/ and passed this command

ln -s /usr/local/jUploadr/jUploadr /usr/bin/jUploadr

But the thing is, when I run jUploadr in the terminal now, I get this

Starting JUploadr...
Java exec found in PATH. Verifying...
Suitable java version found [java = 1.5.0_06]
Configuring environment...
java -cp :*.jar -Djava.library.path=/usr/bin org.scohen.juploadr.app.JUploadr ''
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/scohen/juploadr/app/JUploadr

Pardon me, am kind of a n00b in linux, just know my way around the gui. But where did I go wrong ?

I'm looking forward to it as well. Zooomr's next to useless to me without it, even with all the zany features.

Vishnu,
jUploadr only sets the privacy options when it uploads photos, changing jUploadr's settings will not affect photos that have already been uploaded to Flickr.
If you need to change the privacy on a bunch of photos, I recommend that you use Flickr's Organizr, it will make short work of bulk changes.

Hope this helps.

Hello SCohen,

I'm new to Flickr and used juploader (for Mac) to upload pictures to my site: (http://www.flickr.com/photos/found-behind-the-ranges-over-yonder/). Very easy process. Thanks much.
I've had a problem, though.
While uploading I made default the setting "for friends & family". When I realized the hoops that friends have to go through to access pictures on Flickr I went back and changed the overall default setting to "public". Although that setting has said "public" all day now the pictures on my site still say for "friends only" and people who have tried, only see the photos I've manually (on my site) changed to public. I'm about to manually change all of them - thank goodness there are only 50 uploaded - but I'm wondering where the bug is. I've written to Flickr but thought if it might be in juploader you'd like to know.
