1.1.2 and the future
Sorry it’s been a long time, but hey, 1.1.1 looks pretty solid, and I’ve been busy with life. However, time marches on and it’s just about time for the 1.1.2 bugfix release before we move on to 1.2.
So, the 1.1.2 release is primarily about fixing bugs, but windows users will be pleased to find out that due to the heroic efforts of Daniel Goncalves , the command line window is now gone, and in its place is a very nice executable. Woohoo!
Furthermore, a bundle of fixes for some memory leaks means that you can add more pictures than ever before without the application crashing or consuming prodigious amounts of memory.
I’ve also decided to have a more open beta process, instead of the closed beta list, I’m going to post betas on sourceforge for anyone to download. I found that I get better coverage when the product is released, and I don’t have as much administrative overhead with maintaining the whole process, so I’ll give this a shot and see if it works.
I’m going to release 1.1.2 once I get all the builds done. Should be in the next week at the latest.

Flickr staff finally said they are working and will release Subsets or Sets in Sets feature by the end of this year at http://www.flickr.com/forums/ideas/29649/. Can you please please add it to juploadr as soon as it is released so I can organize all my photos and add lots more. I am holding them due to lack of subsets so their number has grown big. So please support it. Thanks.

Congratulations on this cross platform software. I am sure it will make training easier, not having to learn different styles of software between mac and pc users. When I actually make some money (not something freelancers are reknown for doing well), I will be sure to share some with the juploader guy! Kia manuia, bon chance, good luck.

Nice app, I’ve been enjoying it for a while. I don’t miss that pesky batch file created command window in Windows at all!
I do have one question though… is there a way to invoke jUploadr from the command line and pass it a bunch of filenames? When the app launched, it would then populate the upload window with those files.
Just a thought.
