Updated files
So Kris Tate from Zooomr IMs me today to let me know that they’re releasing Mark III and I need to update the URL that jUploadr uses to connect to Zooomr. So, I rolled a couple builds of 1.1.2 and made sure to compile them with Java 1.4 –even the Mac builds.
Sorry about that, Mac people.

Hey, I just downloaded juploadr and am pumped to be able to start using it but it still doesn’t let me connect to zooomr for verification. I get a “Problem communicating with Zooomr: Got bad HTTP response (status code 404). Any idea what’s wrong? It works fine with Flickr but I’d rather use Zooomr. Thanks!

Zooomr is still using the old URL so if you want to use jUploadr don’t use the last version. Use 1.1.1 instead.
I guess that they will be updating the URL when they release Mark III.

So, I downloaded jUploadr 1.1.2 and try to upload to zooomr.com.
I get “Problem bei der Kommunikation mit Zooomr: Habe fehlerhafte HTTP-Antwort erhalten (Statuscode 404).”
That could be translated as “Problem in communicating with Zooomr: I got a invalid response”.
What should I do?

I’ve read through the forums, the FAQs, and everywhere else I could think of, but still can’t get Juploadr to work on my MacBook. I downloaded ver. 1.1.2 and tried opening it with Java 1.5 and 1.4 with no results. When I click the Juploader icon in the applications folder, it pulses like it’s about to open and then nothing. No error message, no nothing. Any suggestions?

So, does 1.1.2 work? I get a 404 error with it.

This has been a freaking nightmare…
Kris rolled back Mark III, and didn’t tell me the correct URLs in the first place, so I have to make new builds again.
For the time being, download 1.1.2beta1, it’s the same thing as 1.1.2 with the old URLs.

Alexy:
I just tried downloading and running jUploadr 1.1.2 and it worked for me. Are you not executing it from its home directory? It should be as easy as:
tar xfvz jUploadr-1.1.2-linuxGTK-i386.tar.gz
cd jUploadr-1.1.2-linuxGTK-i386
./jUploadr
gojeffrey, Alexcy:
Can you do the following:
Open Terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal)
when terminal is open type the following:
cd /Applications/JUploadr.app/Contents/MacOS
./JavaApplicationStub
Send me what the old mac spits out…

Alexy:
Re-download 1.1.2, it should be fixed now.

hey, I downloaded and everything worked like a treat. however, it cannot find the root directory where it was installed so i can create shortcuts, is this because it is a java application and does not leave a trace?
cheers

I downloaded 1.1.2 and still get ‘problem communicating with zooomr…’ error when trying to authorize jUploader for my zooomr account.
Flickr works fine.
Any fix?

Sridhar,
The fix isn’t on my end, Kris needs to re-enable jUp’s API key. He said he was going to do so last week, but he hasn’t done it yet.

I’m getting this communication problem still and have tried downloading and running all the suggested versions. Has Kris sorted it or no?
